Brachychiiton rupestris / Bottle Tree

This is a small tree in Victoria.

The trunk swells hugely when the ground is wet and contracts when it is dry, so this is not a regular woody tree.

It is in fact Australia's version of a succulent plant.

It is a striking feature tree for small gardens.
